The brand
Named after a giant who wouldn’t kneel.
Rúngne is a climbing brand from Bekkestua, Norway, founded by Magnus Midtbø. The name comes from Norse myth — a giant known for his strength and for refusing to yield to the gods. A stubborn spirit. An untamed one.
We make chalk, bags and apparel for climbers who are hard on all three. Young, indoors most of the week, out on rock when the weather allows, and rough with everything they own. Nothing here is designed for a display shelf.
